King of Chinese Tablets? - PIPO M7 Pro Hands-on Review
PIPO Tablet has made quite an impression with the U1, the first Chinese tablet with a 7” WXGA display, but it’s the more primary tablets such as M8 and M9 that helped the brand to gain dominance against its competitors. And now, PIPO is clearly hell bent on its “Max” series becoming the go-to name for primary tablet devices, refreshing its most powerful device with a certain amount of spec upgrade.
Obviously an evolution of the M7, the M7pro has the same look and feel, with that brushed, radial effect on the dark metal back, and a small frame around the screen, the same screen size of 8.9 inches…. But what really makes the M7 an upgraded version is the increase in display pixels, at 1920*1200 and has the density of 255PPI, the PIPO M7pro’s 8.9-inch FHD screen is arguably the best tablet display I have ever seen. And carrying that many pixels it needs an incredibly strong chipset, that’s why PIPO chose the RK3188 as the SoC. of this slate.

First Impressions
The M7pro’s design is pretty much identical to that of the M9, the same aspect ratio, the same plastic material, the same arrangement of physical buttons and connectors, only a little bit smaller and lighter. The display is eye-wateringly sharp, probably the best I have seen on a tablet so far. Also the SDK2.0 firmware developed by Rockchip is really cool and easy to use.
